Hi, I’m Katarzyna Blachowicz – a jewellery designer and metalsmith based in London.

My journey with jewellery began during travels through India and Nepal, where I was captivated by the artistry of handmade pieces and the skilled craftspeople creating them—often right on the streets. The vibrant stones, intricate designs, and the passion behind each piece left a lasting impression.

 

Back in London, inspired and eager to learn, I enrolled in a professional jewellery-making course. It wasn’t long before I was completely hooked. After completing my studies, I started my own jewellery business with a simple goal: to bring my designs to life and create pieces that people could wear and truly enjoy.

 

Each piece in my collection is designed and handcrafted by me with care, patience, and attention to detail. You’ll find a range of earrings, necklaces, rings, and bracelets—shaped by both geometric and organic forms. I love experimenting with texture, granulation, and semi-precious stones.

 

Alongside my handmade work, I’ve recently introduced a carefully selected range of amber jewellery sourced from trusted makers in Poland. While these pieces aren’t made by me, they reflect the same quality, aesthetic, and values I hold in my own work. I’ve chosen them for their natural beauty, craftsmanship, and to offer you a wider variety of styles.

The name Kaila has several meanings across different languages, but two meanings particularly resonated with me. One is stylish—a nod to my aim of creating wearable, timeless pieces. The other is laurel crown—a symbol of honour and achievement, which is also reflected in my logo.
